We have come to the end of our Moroccan desert training trip and what a blast it has been.
2 days of intense driving in the Sahara desert dunes near the town of Merzouga. Day 1 consisted of been shown the techniques to tackle the dunes. With both of us driving Can-Am X3’s under the guidance of our expert instructor. Day 2 was split in two, the morning we took one X3 and navigated the course of the RWTD 2023 second day race stage through the dunes, something we didn’t do in January 2023. The afternoon we split back to two machines and the instructor upped the pace and technical content to really test us.
A brilliant time, we learnt a lot of techniques and gained a lot of confidence.
We were also accompanied with two budding RWTD entrants on the trip, Will and Harvey. They spent the two days following us on quads and learning the techniques, well done guys.
I&S Adventure and their staff were brilliant and we would like to thank them for the use of the vehicles, also a massive thanks to our brilliant instructor Moha, for the expert advice and taking us to a desert camp for the best meal we had during our stay.
